Ultherapy®: the non-surgical facelift.

For sagging skin on the face or neck, surgery is no longer the only viable option. While a face or neck lift certainly still has its place, you should know there’s an effective, non-invasive alternative for lifting and tightening the skin: Ultherapy®.

What is Ultherapy®?

Ultherapy is the only Health Canada and FDA-approved medical procedure to lift skin on the neck, the brow, and under the chin, as well as to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the neck and décolletage. This one-of-a-kind treatment uses focused ultrasound energy to target the same foundational layer typically addressed by surgeons during cosmetic surgery, without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin. This energy initiates the body’s natural response to stimulate the growth of fresh, new collagen and strengthen weak collagen.

How does Ultherapy® compare to a surgical facelift?

While Ultherapy does not duplicate the results of a facelift, it’s an exciting alternative for those who are not ready for the cost or recovery associated with cosmetic surgery. The treatment is quick (depending on the area being treated, treatments last anywhere from thirty minutes to two hours), non-invasive, and requires very little downtime. Immediately following treatment you might appear flushed and experience slight swelling, tingling, bruising or tenderness, but unlike surgical recovery, these mild side effects shouldn’t affect your daily routine.

When it comes to results, you might see an initial tightening effect immediately following treatment, but the real results appear over two to three months as new collagen builds, gradually lifting and tightening skin on the face and neck, and smoothing skin on the chest. Ultherapy offers up to two years of noticeably firmer, more youthful looking skin, and treatments can be repeated as needed for long-lasting results.

Ultherapy® + dermal fillers for outstanding results.

While Ultherapy and dermal filler injections can both be performed as stand-alone treatments, when combined they can enhance and complement one another. While Ultherapy works to tighten lax and sagging skin, dermal fillers work to replace lost volume in the face, for lasting, natural-looking results.
